Experience Earned on Course.
Born and raised in Honolulu, I began competing in tournaments at the age of seven. I learned how to play the game from instructors like Hawaii golf legend, Lance Suzuki, and gained experience playing in hundreds of tournaments throughout Hawaii and across the United States.
After receiving my diploma from Punahou School, I earned a division one golf scholarship to play at the University of San Diego. I competed under PGA Tour winner and former Ryder Cup member, Chris Riley, who led our team from being ranked outside the top 125 to becoming a top 50 program and qualifying for the NCAA Championship.
Upon graduating with two bachelor’s degrees, I returned home to finish my collegiate career at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I gained invaluable experience under 1987 US Open champion, 7-time PGA Tour winner, and head coach, Scott Simpson, and earned GCAA All-America Scholar recognition while receiving my Master of Science in Finance. In my post-collegiate career, I have had success in amateur events, winning the Hawaii State Amateur Stroke Play Championship and Hawaii's most prestigious amateur title - the Manoa Cup.
I've played alongside professionals like Joaquín Niemann, Brandon Wu, Michael Thorbjornsen, and Takumi Kanaya and seen the quality of golf required at the highest level. Through competing at tournaments like the US Amateur Championship, serving as a volunteer assistant coach at UH Manoa, and caddying at professional events on the Asian Tour, I have developed a thorough understanding of course management and mental performance. Experiencing the game from inside the ropes at some of the highest levels, I teach players with insights most instructors don’t see.
The foundation of my teaching focuses on understanding your tendencies and getting the most out of your game - regardless of whether you've got your A game!

Course management is the key to shooting lower scores.
Most golfers spend countless hours and thousands of dollars, trying to fix their swing. Despite swing lessons, new equipment, new drills, and training aids, scores don’t get lower. Shooting lower scores begins with understanding the decisions that take place before each shot — selecting appropriate targets, what shot to hit, and identifying the proper areas to position your next shot.
Whether you’re an amateur who wants to lower their handicap, a junior golfer with ambitions to play in college, or a competitive player who’s ready to contend in more tournaments, improved course management allows players to succeed on any course design, under any level of pressure.
Sessions will help players identify and manage their tendencies, allowing them to create a strategy for each shot. Players will learn how to think about risk and reward, develop techniques in managing expectations for each shot, and understand how to execute every decision with clarity.
-
Tournament golfers who want to perform their best under pressure must be able to quickly adjust their mindset to any situation.
Whether you’re trying to shoot your career low, qualify for a tournament, or win your biggest event yet, performance mindset coaching will help you improve your ability to succeed when it matters most.
Sessions will help players cultivate unwavering belief in their abilities, manage their emotions in any scenario, and develop a mindset to achieve their goals — even without your best game.

College recruiting consulting is designed for junior golfers with the desire to play collegiate golf at any level. There is no required age, as college recruiting is an ongoing process that can be started at any time.
While the journey to college golf can be achieved alone, it is often a challenging and confusing process. My goal is to simplify the process and help juniors find a collegiate program they will thrive in.
Sessions will help juniors and their families understand how to generate interest from coaches, identify universities that align with players’ goals, and maximize the college golf experience. Players and their families will receive a customized roadmap to navigate the college recruiting process and feedback to increase recruitment opportunities.

Each session will focus on the strategic aspects of the game and help players achieve their goals by working on skills that focus on improving scores. We will analyze players’ current course management skills and mindset tendencies and implement new methods for lower scores.
